$$ Million Dollar Mile $$ Yard Sale - Oct. 2012

2013 MILLION DOLLAR MILE YARD SALE IS SCHEDULED FOR OCT. 12, 2013

Success!!! The Sparta $$ Million Dollar Mile $$ Yard Sale was a big success on Oct. 13, 2012. Scheduled to last from 'sun up to sun down' - most of the people were packing up their remaining treasures about 3 or 4.

We had intended to get out early and check out the vendors, however - we had guests at the house, so we didn't make it into town until a little after noon.

The sale was still going strong, and we spoke to several vendors who were singing the praises of the event - they had made money and had been given a good spot. (a few others were a little unhappy with their locations, hopefully next year - they will be back and will ask for better location)

Well, you know I took photos - Sparta was alive with people traipsing across town, people parking where they could, then walking around to the vendor booths in the area - then loading back up and cruising on to the next group of booths.

If you were looking for 'it' - chances are, somebody had 'it' in one of the booths. Here are some of the pictures I took -

And so, there you go . . .

Liberty Square 2012

The day started out a little cool and cloudy.

However, those who braved the wind and came on out to the 2012 Liberty Square were treated with some of the BEST Bluegrass EVER ! ! !

Lots of great booths, representing many of Sparta's wonderful businesses. I didn't get photos of all of them, got distracted by the music and food.

Lots of fun

The Harmans took the stage first - and of course, the Martha White Rolling Bluegrass Museum was there.

The Expedition Show - featuring Sparta's own Blake and Kimberly Williams. I gotta tell you, I think this was the best lineup we have ever had at Liberty Square.

The Grascals - if you haven't heard them - go right now and buy some of their music and tickets to their next concert. Wow.

Now - Paul Williams & Victory Trio - were so very good, I will repeat . . . if you weren't able to come to Liberty Square and listen, go right now . . . and buy some of their music and tickets to their next concert, so very  good!!!

Liberty Square has already been scheduled for 2013, October 5th and Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver have already been booked for the event. Mark your calendar NOW!!
